On January 29, Forbes magazine published a report of this year’s “Top-Earning Women In Music.” Who made it and who didn’t?

Here’s the list:

1. Madonna – $72 million

How: tour, royalties, clothing, broadcast rights, record deal.

2. Barbara Streisand – $60 million

How: the formerly retired singer decided to ‘un-retire’ and have comeback tour with average tickets sales of around $300 per person.

3. Celine Dion – $45 million

How: one word…VEGAS.

4. Shakira – $38 million

How: performed 111 concerts around the world in one year (workaholic tendencies perhaps?).

5. BeyoncĂ© – $27 million

How: endorsement princess.

6. Gwen Stefani – $26 million

How: new album, endorsements, own fashion label.

7. Christina Aguilera – $20 million

How: tour, endorsements.

8. Faith Hill – $19 million
