People have noticed Pompilates.
Pompilates is now pop culture!
Pompilates, our very own exercise video that has been on the Amazon best-seller list a gazillion times already has now officially gone mainstream!
Nationally known comedian Bill Santiago, a familiar face on Conan O’Brien and Comedy Central, recently published a book called
Pardon My Spanglish ¡Porque Because! — One Man’s Guide to Speaking the Habla. We made it into the book!
In the Sports & Beauty section he mentions Pompilates (page 132)!!!!!!
Here’s part of the Pompilates excerpt from Pardon My Spanglish:
“Now, Spanglish exercise is making great strides. Yes, you too can have the
derriere de tus dreams with Pompilates! This revolutionary new system, harnessing el poder of pilates para tus pompis, is even more popular than those ‘Nalgas of Steel’ videos.”My favorite part is, of course, when he mentions that Pompilates is “more popular than those ‘
Nalgas of Steel’ videos.” Gracias Bill Santiago….nuestro new best amigo! The New York Daily news interviewed him.
We love it!!

You probably feel overloaded with information, but don’t worry. Take time to process the information as you explore and discover. Shoot me an email if you have any questions. I’ve found an MSNBC article that voices your frustrations (see below)!
As promised, I’ll be giving Social Media tips over the next few weeks. Here’s the first:
I just came across this New York Times blog post Setting the Record Straight Online by one of my favorite New York Times authors, Marci Alboher. You can also poke around her personal blog HeyMarci.com.
Check it out to find out how you can use Social Media to do easy damage control for either yourself or your business. After reading Marci’s article, please see how the author used her blog to quickly turn the situation around in her favor.
Go right to the article itself: Social Media Overload by Eve Tahmincioglu. The article gives EXCELLENT tips on which Social Networks are worth your time and those that are not. Really, concentrate on just one two networks, Facebook and/or LinkedIn.
I pulled this quote from Tahmincioglu’s article, which I’m sure will resonate with you:
“Trust me. In researching this column, I signed up for as many of the networks out there as I could and what did I get? A headache.”
Keep checking back for more Social Media tips!

HOW TO PRIORITIZE LIKE A PROJECT MANAGER
September 15, 2008 by Katie Skow

In my last post, I briefly discussed your options for doing something when you feel like doing nothing. I mentioned that you have two choices: take a step back or persevere.
However, I don’t feel like I was clear enough about a compromise between the two. Yes, there is a middle road. If you learn to organize your tasks properly, you can easily figure out what needs to be done now and what can be put off until later.
The good news is that fancy project management software is not needed. Get out a piece of paper, a pen, and your calendar. Here are a few simple steps to get you started:
1. Create Macro List: Make a list of everything you need to do.
2. Next to every item, establish a due date.
3. Circle what is due today and tomorrow. Add a checkmark next to items due today. Start these tasks ASAP starting with the check marked items.
4. Create Micro List: Break down the remaining (uncircled items) into action steps and assign each step a realistic due date.
5. Transfer Macro and Micro due dates to calendar.
TIP: Color-code your Macro and Micro Lists. It’s easier to see everything at a quick glance.
Now that you know how to prioritize like a project manager, if you ever feel like taking a moment to rest, you will have a birds eye view of your schedule and immediately know if (and on what tasks) you must persevere.
