Las Vegas, Nevada: The perfect business destination.
Say what?
You read right! Las Vegas provides both the perfect office and playground for a business trip. The city has millions of square feet for any trade show, expo, or meeting and the excellent entertainment for every taste.
Whether you or your clients like to gamble, relax by the pool, enjoy a cocktail in Venice or Paris, dance the night away, or take in one of the numerous shows…there’s something for everyone.
Last weekend, I went on a business trip to Blog World & New Media Expo in Las Vegas and while I didn’t have tons of energy to play, I did find the time to take in a Cirque du Soleil* show and saw LOVE:
- LOVE was my third Cirque du Soleil show and I’ve loved every single show! (Let me know if you’ve ever run into anyone who saw one of their shows and didn’t like it- I haven’t met anyone yet!)
- LOVE is a bit different from the other Cirque du Soleil shows I’ve seen like La Nuba. Expect amazing choreography and stunts with a modern twist. Think: Cirque du Soleil meets Stomp at times.
- If you love The Beatles, you’ll love the amazing remixes of their popular songs! If you can’t stand the music, choose another Cirque show.
- This is the Cirque show to see for the politically and socially-minded. As most people know, The Beatles went from singing about peace, love, and strawberries to lyrics about revolutions and all the lonely people. You’ll have to see LOVE to find how they managed to incorporate all these themes into the show!
If you’re thinking about buying The Beatles LOVE album, click on the affiliate link below and I might just make enough money to buy a cup of coffee (which will help me write my next blog post)!
*Thanks to @CirqueduSoleil for providing these free tickets to review the show!

Finally, a highly useful step-by-step guide on how to achieve success not only at work, but in every other aspect of life.
Based on the assumption that you’re already designed to succeed, Arlene Johnson breaks her recipe for success (a Success Map) into a very easy, manageable eight steps in her book Success Mapping: Achieve What You Want- Right Now!
The book, a cross between a handy motivational guide and a workbook, is laid out for you to pick a clear goal while ensuring you are committed so you set yourself up to achieve exactly what you want.
What are some of the benefits to creating a Success Map?
• “Your life dream or goal now has a big, clear target that becomes much easier to hit.”
• Be “laser focused on ways to accomplish that goal.”
• Once you’ve learned to achieve your first goal with Johnson’s steps, a Success Map will help you obtain all your other goals.
Arlene Johnson does a great job making this book easy to follow and understand. Each chapter is a step in creating a Success Map.
• Step One- What do you really want?
• Step Two- The power of you- with intention
• Step Three- The power of choice!
• Step Four- Using your strengths
• Step Five- Transforming stumbling blocks into stepping-stones
• Step Six- Ask for and get what you need
• Step Seven- Making decisions… with no regrets!
• Step Eight- Yes, I’m really ready to achieve my intention statement!
Success Mapping should be read, reread, and each chapter should be decorated with your personal notes. Before you move on to the next chapter, be sure you’ve mastered all the chapter goals by checking the mastery list provided.
Reading and using Success Mapping as a guide in your own life will help you realize how easy it can actually be to get what you want.
Make it your intention to grab a copy of this book today!

Wine-ing: Is South Coast Winery in Temecula a hit or miss?

South Coast Winery vlog review:
Winery: South Coast Winery
Location: Temecula, California
Wines: A very wide variety of reds, whites, and roses. There’s sure to be something for everyone…syrah, cabernet, grenache, chardonnay, merlot Rose, merlot blanc, porto, zinfandel, sparkling wine, and many more…
Cost of Tasting: $12 for 5 tastes. $15 for the premium tasting which includes 5 tastes off their premium and regular wine menu. While most wineries offer 2 for 1 weekday tasting coupons, I couldn’t find any for South Coast Winery.
Ambiance: This is the perfect place to bring several large tour groups at once as South Coast Winery appears to have been built with this exact purpose in mind. Their large, austere wine tasting room does not provide a cozy and intimate atmosphere, if that’s what you’re seeking.
Katie’s Take: The judges may have spoken, claiming South Cost Winery to have the best wine in California. However, my taste buds have also spoken and proclaim that statement false. I know my own tastes. I’ve had better California wines and even better wine at other places in Temecula who aren’t yet big enough to have awards. South Coast Winery doesn’t make bad wine, they just, in my opinion, make very average mass produced (by Temecula standards) wine.
South Coast Winery might be a really great place to go if you’re looking for an all-in-one Temecula experience. Stay in a villa among the vineyards, treat yourself to a massage at the GrapeSeed Spa, and take a trip to the tasting room to decide which wine you’ll be drinking with dinner. You can have all of this without ever leaving South Coast Winery.
